We loved the/ Warm Breezes/, guesthouse and all the amenities and especially the view from the surround veranda. It was breathtaking! I miss Togabo so much. Gill will you adopt me please so I can stay forever lol.
Nice high vaulted ceilings kept the place cool with the overhead fans and AC. The beds were good and the rooms were clean, The soft and calming ambiance of this place feels so good after a day of site seeing. Birds of all makes and sizes and beautiful too at your veranda in the AM and the calming sound of Caribbean at night. It was magnificent. Your a about 5 minutes away from a few home grown Ma and Pa dinning places with a small grocery store right next to them. There are boat and reef tours just down the road too and the beach (like you have your choice of 10 maybe and they are quite) is just down the road. Your in a "rual" part of Tobago and out of the tourist zone here and you get to see the local culture.
Get Gillian and Paul to rent you a car $50 or an SUV for $75 US as you are only 15 minutes away form Crown Point and the drive is great. We went up to English Bay and Specide and boy was it beautiful. Gillian was a great hostess. Thank you so much. I hope to come down again if you will have us lol

We would like to thank you for the great time in your Apartment. We enjoyed it so much from the first moment.
On our arriving we got a mobile phone and also very helpful informations about the island and the beaches. As we asked for the next supermarket, Paul gave us a lift to there to do our shopping and he also showed us the area around Pleasant Prospect. He also made many special things for us (driving us to the beach for turtle watching, helped us with the scooter, etc.).
Also the apartment was realy nice and we had a great view over the Bay.
There was also a lot of space at the apartment to feel like at home. Once again, everything was great and we realy recommend the Hibiscus Heights!

We would like to thank you so much for your hospitality on our honeymoon at Hibiscus Heights. We spent 3 days at Corner View and we absolutely LOVED that apartment. It is quite beautiful, spacious, cosy, comfortable and has everything we needed for our short stay/ honeymoon. Thank you for arranging the rental car for us, and for your helpful tips about where to eat & visit- we thoroughly enjoyed being on that side of the island, and used that opportunity to visit many of the beaches and towns on the west coast.
I highly recommend Hibiscus Heights to anyone who wants a home away from home for their vacation, in a safe, beautiful and friendly neighbourhood in Tobago. The apartment and its views are breathtaking and you are wonderful hosts. If we return for holidays, we are sure to stay with you! Best wishes to your family and the business- may God continue to bless you & yours.

If you're visiting Tobago, I can't suggest Hibiscus Heights highly enough.
On holiday, like most people, I find certain things always need to be arranged after you arrive; Paul and Gill (and Peggy) were all so helpful, it was just easy.
Right from the start, Paul picked me up from the airport, stopped off at the store so I could pick up groceries, before giving me a short tour of Grafton. They lent me a phone, even found snorkeling equipment I could borrow. And of course, their knowledge of the area helped our group pick up the best beaches and restaurants to visit; some of which were in walking distance.
Hope you enjoy your stay as much as I did :).

Our friends and family rented the entire villa at Hibiscus Heights for three wonderful days!! This was truly a wonderful place to stay could not have been happier. The views from the warm breeze was very breath taking and well worth the price. The villa was spacious and well appointed and we made good use of the pool out back.
My children had a fantastic time. We fell in love with Hibiscus Heights the moment we stepped in this house. The villa was great, well equipped and very suitable for children. The four poster beds and high cathedral ceiling was a dream.
Gill and Paul were always on hand to offer help and not to mention very friendly. This was the best three day vacation we spent. Money well spent!!! Looking forward to our next visit…

Visited Sweet Nest in March 2009
In March 2009 we returned from a wonderfull relaxing holiday in Grafton area Tobago. We stayed in Sweet Nest part of Hibiscus Heights.
The self contained cottage was everything and more than we expected. It was very clean ,cozy and fully equiped which gave you the option of doing your own meals. The living area expanded with two French doors that opened to a large deck surrounded by banana trees. This vegetation not only gave you privacy and bananas, but also attracted many beautifull birds to the cottage each morning and evening.
Hibiscus Heights is ideally located for whatever you wished to do. The village (a 5 minute walk) has everything you needed from groceries to liquor ,bank machine , a Bar as well as eateries such as the Fish Pot,Pizza Boys or take out local food from Joannes . From the cottage it was a 5 min walk to Grafton Beach , great for walking, and 10 min walk to Mount Irivine Beach which was great for swimming, local foods and daily fresh fish. There was no problem in doing tours on land or sea from the cottage.
If there was anything that you needed or didn't know all you had to do was ask the owners Paul and Gillian or Peggy the housekeeper. They went out of their way to make you welcome and enjoy the island. We look forward to returning next year.

Hibiscus Heights is a delightful villa set in the village of Pleasant Prospect. We had the top floor apartment known as Warm Breezes which was beautiful; wonderful views, lovely furnishings and kitted out with everything one could possibly need. Our hosts, Gill and Paul, have exactly the right attitude to guests; they are available to give advice or help if you need it but otherwise you are left alone to enjoy your holiday. If there is a slight hiccup it is sorted immediately, unobtrusively and without fuss. Peggy, the housekeeper, looked after us very well and the apartment was always beautifully clean and tidy after she had been.
This was our 4th visit to Tobago over the last 12 years but the first to Hibiscus Heights. Despite some very unseasonal rain and wind off the Caribbean ( usually it's off the Atlantic) we found the island to be as delightful as ever. We revisited most of our favourite beaches safe for swimming and snorkelling and were pleased to find them unspoilt. Tobago remains one of the least spoiled of the Caribbean islands and with plenty of bird life and underwater life to investigate it is a veritable pearl for those who like this. We are also golfers and have always enjoyed playing the Mount Irvine course which, though perhaps not quite as good as it was, still provides an excellent holiday challenge with friendly staff to look after you - and it's only 2 minutes from the villa.
We have always found the Tobagonians to be a friendly people and this has not changed despite the credit crunch clearly having its effect on local people and giving rise to some unemployment. Buying food , be it fruit from a roadside vendor, meat from the Meat Shop ( excellent by the way ) fish from the fishman by the beach,( freshly caught and sold at 4.00pm daily) or indeed in the supermarket is a fun experience. However, on the days when we didn't feel like cooking or dining out (at The Fish Pot more often than not), the food provided by Monica's Home Cooking Delivery Service was delicious.
You will have gathered that we love Tobago! Let's hope the credit crunch doesn't bite too deep so that we can revisit and find everything fine and dandy on the island.

Dear Gill and Paul,
Thank you and also your housekeeper Peggy for your warm hospitality. You guys made us feel at home during our stay in your cottage. It was cosy, cool and yet very spacious. The furnishings and decor are quite suitable for complete relaxation. The ceiling fans over the beds are a great idea. The french doors open out on our very own private sundeck. This was like paradise.
The kitchen is well equipped with everything, so we enjoyed cooking our meals and eating out on deck. I had the pleasure of feeding the mot mot with cheese and every day they would come back for more.
Every morning we were awakened by the sounds of the cocoricos and I would come out on deck to watch them perched on the trees nearby and then they would fly down in a flock to feed on the lawns like common backyard chickens. It took my breath away. There were so many different birds also watching us as we relaxed under the umbrella drinking coffee in the morning. This was absolute bliss. We had our own bird sanctuary and felt so much in touch with nature.
The patio was also completed conveniently with a grill which was perfect for having our friends over for a bar-b-q dinner in the afternoon. We had a wonderful time when you joined us for food and drinks and simply chilling out together.
We found your cottage to be the ideal place for a honeymoon. The ambience of this place was everything we had hoped for in a peaceful and very relaxing holiday. We will definitely come back again.
Dennis and I would like to wish you a very happy and prosperous New Year.

Visited Sweet Nest in November, 2008, with their two sons who stayed in The Artist's Studio
Spent two weeks at Hibiscus Heights and really enoyed ourselves. Deck area was well used and the BBQ was ideal for cooking meat from farm "Meat Shop" and fish from the beach. Gill and Paul were great and gave us lots of good advice and help. Bird watching with Newton George was superb. Enjoyed the waves at Stonehaven ay and snorkeling all around the island. Village was lively -- especially on a Friday night. Castara was our favourite spot to visit on our way up the coast.
We have had a fab time. Managed to see all of the island. We thought it was so very beautiful! The waves at Stonehaven Bay were good fun. Buccanneer's Bar on Grafton Beach is a lovely spot to sit and watch the sun go down, and so handy. Loved the flowers, birds and scenery. We were fascinated by the nature, this being our first visit to a Caribbean island.
The accommodation is just perfect, and many thanks to Peggy for all her hard work. Paul & Gill were always there to give us any help or advice to get the best out of our stay here. We are sad to go.

In October 2008 we treated ourselves to a relaxing few days at Warm Breezes. When we arrived, Paul and Gillian greeted us with a warm, natural vibe that instantly made us feel we were in the right place. Warm Breezes should actually be renamed Cool Breezes. There is a huge, breezy verandah with a fantastic view of the sea. Inside is also spacious and cool, very clean, well kept, comfortably and fully furnished. We had spent a few days in a lovely rustic place in Castara just before, but when we walked into Warm Breezes we were met with a luxurious and comfortable alternative. This was our upscale, fully equipped haven for the last few days. Everything is there ... from private pool, to bathrobes, to fully equipped kitchen with all kinds of utensils and appliances, to books, DVDs and a CD player with an eclectic mix of CDs. We prepared our meals to the likes of ABBA and Roberta Flack with some others tossed in. Huge, comfortable bed, air conditioning, wide open doors onto the verandah and lots of space. Attention to detail is key. Paul & Gillian take the time to think of and provide what their guests need to be comfortable and feel pampered. The beach, food stands, eating places and a small but fully equipped grocery are within walking distance. If you're looking for somewhere safe, comfortable, fully-equipped and close to beaches with a convenient and bearable dose of civilization, this is a great choice.

Great place to stay with everything provided.
Paul and Gillian are dedicated to their guests to ensure everything runs smoothly and every comfort is provided from pick-up at the airport, driving us around, arranging car-hire, provision of cell phone.
Do visit Pigeon Point, Argyle Falls (with own personal guide), Bird Sanctuary.
Eat at Fish Pot, Harlequin's, and there's a great take-away from Joanne's that's so cheap.
Enjoy laughter and a chat with friendly Peggy. She is a gem.
If there is a power cut at night, step outside and watch the magical display of fireflies sparkling in the darkness (Paul will ensure you are not left without light, providing torches, candles, etc.).
No need to bring reading material to this holiday -- enjoy the wide variety of books in the library of The Artist's Studio.
Expect to be hassled by locals on the beach trying to sell you things. However, most are friendly around the island especially when you get lost!
Thank you Paul, Gillian & Peggy for all your hard work.

Best apartment ever!
Thanx for the warmth welcome at my arrival which just came as a relief after all the long trip.
First apartment I could even suggest my parents (knowing they're picky ;-) ). Didn't except to find everything I was dreaming of
as a wonderful furnished and very clean place; queen size shower; very comfortable bed; enough drawers and a full provided
wardrobe for all what a girl has to store!
Grafton Beach and Mt.Irvine are just next door and enabled me to spend every day tannin' in my favourite aera. Restaurants and bars
are down the road and catchin' car to town or else is a easy thing. Thanx for every little extra which made my stay even more like paradise.
I've been spending memorables times in the Artist's Studio and in your company.
Thank you Peggy for our shared moments and laughs. I'll come back any time.

Dear Paul & Gillian
We came on our honeymoon and out of all the places we have ever been to, your cottage apartment, or shall we say little house, has everything we can ever think of. I remember the first time we walked through the door we thought "the tv is so small" but now we would both like to say "please change nothing, everything is perfect." We cannot express to you enough how thankful we are to both of you.
Thank you for making our honeymoon unforgettable.

This was our last stop after island-hopping round the Caribbean. What a wonderful place! The climate of Tobago is great; Sweet Nest had everything we could have hoped for -- and more; Paul and Gillian did everything they could to make our stay enjoyable -- it certainly was! Meals at the Harlequin were good, and cheap. The Seahorse for our special last night meal. Nigel continued his diving using the Adventure Eco-Divers Ltd. on the beach. We loved Stonehaven/Grafton beach but it was worth tearing ourselves away to visit other beautiful beaches. Speyside and Charlottesville were worth the visit (for diving and more) plus "Sunday School" -- Buccoo, friendly people everywhere.
Thank you for a wonderful few days.

Great place to stay with everything provided.
On our last romantic getaway our experience was not as fantastic, welcoming and cozy as this one we experienced here at Hibiscus Heights.
We stayed in The Artist's Studio apartment and the owners Paul & Gillian made sure that the apartment was well equipped with all the amenities to make you feel at home.
Staying at The Artist's Studio is not like spending time in a hotel room, but feeling cozy in your own home.
We highly recommend Hibiscus Heights to anyone who wishes to have a home away from home and not just an ordinary vacation.
We enjoyed our stay and hope to return soon.

Visited Sweet Nest in June, 2008 and Delta Dan kindly gave us permission to share this guestbook entry with you.
With Sweet Nest as our comfortable and well-equipped base of operations, we are nearing the end of a wonderful week. We made a 3 hour hike in the rainforest and saw 5 waterfalls on a single trail. We dove in Speyside with owner Sean Robinson at Manta Lodge and saw 5 manta rays on a single dive. Last night we were on Grafton Beach and (believe it or not) 5 leatherback turtles came ashore to lay eggs. I write this guestbook entry on day 5 of our trip, and it occurs to me we may be on our fifth bottle of rum. We love this place!

Things you must do:
- eat at The Harlequin (down the road)
- if you want to do an all-day tour, do the coastal tour with Frankie (or even better with Mark on Coastal Runner). Do not do a full day Buccoo reef glass-bottom boat tour (the most exciting stuff is in the beginning) but make sure to do the 1/2 day glass bottom boat tour
- Visit Pigeon Point
- snorkel as much as possible
- don't bother going to Scarborough
- watch the surfers at Mt Irvine beach
- check out Sunday School and The Shade
- walk through the rainforest
- get Peggy to make you food
- play pool at Signature Lounge & get a Soca Warrior shot
- lime in the village with the locals
- take some music home
Thank you Paul, Gillian and Peggy, you were all wonderful and we truly cherished this trip.

Dear Sweet Nest,
Thank you for your kindness and the feelings in Sweet Nest. This bungalow has everything, a beatiful part for sleeping without moskitos, livingroom with TV, CD and comfortable Divan for the power napp for two. We can see the Caribbean Ocean from the perfect kitchen and the functionable terass is very romantic with jungle feelings with the banana trees and singing birds. Most of all, a silence air condition, nothing makes you confusion here, everything is just perfect.

Wayne and I visited Tobago in February 2008. Wonderful weather and beautiful surroundings was a welcome reprieve from a typical Nova Scotia winter. The very special Hibiscus Heights and its wonderful hosts Paul and Gill made the trip so much more than a winter getaway. Their well kept villa was clean and completely self contained for preparing delicious local food or just relaxing on the wraparound verandah with the Caribbean Sea breeze melting the frost from our bones. The beaches were close and we water dogs really like our salt water swims. The community of Pleasant Prospect, a two minute walk right at the bottom of the hill, had everything we needed, from a banking machine to groceries to great restaurants. The Tobagan people are friendly and welcoming and so very proud of their beautiful island. Paul and Gill were right on top of great opportunities to experience the local flora and fauna and gave us excellent suggestions on boat and bird watching tours. Thanks Gill and Paul for making our trip a remarkable vacation experience and for the amazing memories we have of Hibiscus Heights and Tobago.

Our vote for friendliness and the most lush Island yet!
If you are looking for a vacation that allows you to escape to a paradise Hibiscus Heights will do that. We visited many Caribbean Islands and this by far presents the most beautiful vegetation, flowers, sea scapes, and people yet. This location allows you to enjoy a relaxed atmosphere, the most friendly people who appreciate you, and refreshes you beyond words. It hasn't been overtaken by tourism...it is a pure example of a typical rural village in Tobago. Gillian and Paul are the perfect hostess and host who treat you like special guests. Paul greeted us at the airport, stopped at a supermarket allowing us to purchase the initial order and helped take our suitcases to our home away from home. The studio is fully self contained allowing totally independent living while there. We cooked some meals including fresh fish that we traced from the boat, the fishermen's on site market to the frying pan all within an hour. Flying fish, tuna and dolphin were prepared by myself during our two week stay but wasn't nearly as delicious as at the many places to eat located nearby. They can COOK! Whatever combination of spices used during preparation is the most delicious I have ever eaten and so reasonably priced. Where can you eat for $5 – $8 per meal? That includes chicken, fish, or steak with rice, pasta or salad. Harleqin's provides that in a open restaurant nearby. Joanne prepares all her own food which allows you to taste delicious local fare. Cecilia makes you so welcome at her newly opened business featuring fresh fruit, cake and ice cream, breakfast as well as main meals. She is so friendly that she gave US a parting gift when we left. The only cash machine on the Caribbean coast is located there as well as a small market, several restaurants, and internet. We felt so welcomed in that little settlement.
While there we walked down every street and road to appreciate the area. Roosters, hens and chicks, parrots in cages, unique flowers, sheep, gorgeous birds, as well as neighbourly residents made each outing an adventure. The beach is perfect for good walks, rock formation make a perfect background for excellent photos, water is clear with several choices of calm to lots of wave action. The heat of the sun was surprisingly not intense but the temperatures in the mid 80s made for what we call our nicest summer day back home.
The bus stop is nearby and for $2 TT ($6 TT equals $1 US) you can travel to Scarborough, the capital, and spend the day. Don't be in a hurry to return as they often travel using Tobago time. We always make everything an adventure so while we awaited the return trip we enjoyed observing the school children dressed in their uniforms. They were courteous, respectful and typical youth except they each wore the uniform of their school.
We had a private tour of the island which featured poui trees dotting the deep green hills, Charlotteville tucked away at the bottom of the hillside with postcard beauty and finished the day with a fantastic meal at the famous Tree House restaurant. Our guide even stopped along the twisting road to pick a ripe papaya for all of us to share. You can't imagine the intense flavour. One small example of the genuine friendliness of the people of that area.
If you want every day to seem like two, drop into a comfort zone, read books, go to the beach, walk ,enjoy nature and warm caring people, visit Hisbiscus Heights.

loved it so much they talked us into going this year with mutual friends. We
are so glad they did!! We spent two weeks in paradise with best friends in

were worth the price. The villa was spacious and well appointed and we made
good use of the pool out back. Paul and Gill were great hosts: kind,

Just Delightful!
My husband and I LOVED Sweet Nest. It was the best value we experienced during our month-long stay on Tobago. It is so cute and well equipped. There are lots of birds, including a mot-mot. The owners were very friendly and helpful. Stonehaven Bay (Grafton Beach) is a short walk, and it was a fabulous beach--large and beautiful with crashing waves that were so much fun to play in. The cafe on the beach served the best rum punches that we had during our holiday. The only downside was the litter. On the walk from the beautiful cottage to the gorgeous beach, the roads were strewn with litter.

We Really Felt Like Home At Sweet Nest!
My husband and I stayed at Sweet Nest for our honeymoon on January 10-24 2008. We were incredibly happy with our choice as the cottage is absolutely perfect and Paul and Gillian are the most wonderful hosts, with excellent help from Sandra the house keeper.
Sweet Nest is unbelievably well-equipped with everything we could possibly think of and more (dvd-player with movies, cd-player with cds, iron and board, blow-dryer, picnic basket and so on). We had everything we needed in the kitchen (fridge, freezer, stove, oven, microwave, mixer and all possible utensils) and enjoyed cooking there and eating out on the deck, hearing and watching the beautiful exotic birds. We enjoyed the birds more than we expected to and really recommend a walk up to the nearby Grafton Caledonia Bird Sanctuary to see one of their feedings (8 a.m. and 4 p.m.).
The location was perfect – close to pretty much everything, like Scarborough and Crown Point where most of the action is. It was easy to get around even without a rental car as just about everybody on Tobago likes to make some extra cash as taxi drivers, you just have to stand by the road and wave to cars passing by.
Grafton Beach, only a couple of minutes on foot from Sweet Nest, was the best beach we tried on Tobago! Great swimming with good-sized waves and not at all crowded like Pigeon Point and Store Bay. A few more minutes in the other direction takes you to Mt Irvine Beach which is good if you're looking for more people and facilities.
The nearby grocery store Marie's Place was good to have and also the ATM, Pizza Boys, The Fish Pot restaurant, Mom's Roti Shop, Ocean View Bar et cetera.
We hope to be back one day, maybe with friends or family so we can stay in the big villa – the view from up there is excellent!
I took a lot of pictures and here are some taken in and around Sweet Nest: flickr.com/photos/helenaferry/sets/72157603799126955/

We just had the absolute pleasure of staying in the appropriately named "Sweet Nest" cottage for 7 nights. This was everything we could have hoped for in a peaceful, relaxing holiday.
The cottage is perfectly appointed with plenty of room, a full kitchen, and a huge, private deck with a grill. The towels are soft and the bed is very comfy. There is a folder in the room packed with info on Tobago and pamphlets about activities around the island. Many birds, flowers, and little lizards grace the deck, where we spent a fair amount of time liming about.
The cottage is within walking distance to many wonderful things. Grafton Beach, which by our research is the best beach in the area and one of the nicest on the island, is a five minute walk. Perfect palm trees and great waves, not too busy but not deserted (there is a hotel at the far end of Grafton). Resaraunt and bar on the beach and a couple of great shops to buy some beautiful goods or art. Some of the better restaraunts are closeby the cottage as well - The Fish Pot, The Seahorse Inn, and Patino's are all cant miss. Make sure to go to the Fish Pot for lunch and dinner, as their dinner menu is fresh and delicious. And for drinks and a couple games of pool, the Signature Lounge (above the pizza shop - which serves a tastey pie by the way) is a great little bar with excellent ocean veiws and friendly staff. There is a market at the bottom of the hill too, with an inexhaustible supply of snacks, wine, cuban cigars, and Carib's for the cottage deck. You also cannot miss the fresh fish market at Mt. Irvine Bay, 4PM nearly every day. Also, Bucco Jct, and Crown Point, and the golf course are short drives away.
Paul and Gillian are wonderful hosts who take great pride in thier property and the experiences of thier guests. They are outgoing and curteous, and knowledgable about the area. We visited the other apartments and were dazzled by the "Warm Breezes" suite. The pictures really do not do Hibiscus Heights justice, and we highly recommend being a guest here on your trip to Tobago! I know we will be back.
Thank you Paul and Gillian!!

We have just returned from 10 days at Hibiscus Heights, with our three children ranging from 1-5 years.
Tobago is a beautiful island and there is much to do including windsurfing, surfing, snorkelling and relaxing on one of the many beautiful beaches.
The children had a fantastic time and loved all the attention being so blonde!
We fell in love with it and relaxed totally. The villa was great, well equipped and suitable for children, with the gated pool and ropes around the verandah. The four poster beds were a treat and we could not have wanted more. The views to the sea are amazing, along with the birdlife and we spent many a breakfast spotting birds we had never seen before.
Gill and Paul were always on hand to offer advice and are very friendly; Sandra the housekeeper cooks amazing Caribbean food and babysits too so we sampled some of the restaurants as well.
This is a beautiful villa, perched on a hill with wonderful views and Tobago is a great place to relax and unwind.
We are looking forward to our next visit already!

In November of 2007 my boyfriend and I were fortunate enough to stay at “The Sweet Nest Cottage” at the Hibiscus Heights Villa in Tobago. We had the time of our lives. Before we even set foot in Tobago Gillian showed her warmth and concern for our safe arrival. When we finally got to the cottage from Trinidad we were greeted kindly by Gillian and Paul.
Once we entered the cottage we fell immediately in love with the place it was elegant, yet charming accommodations. The artistically arranged furnishings, made me not want to set foot outside; the meticulously kept marble floors and quaint tropical decorated furnishings were beautiful. The bedpost were adorned with soft long tulle that draped the floor which just added to the romance of the cottage, and for additional convenience we had a fully equipped kitchen with all the utensils needed to prepare a meal.
We were looking for something romantic and we definitely found it. The views are breath-taking and almost unbelievable in the morning. At night we especially enjoyed the sounds of the waves rolling against the shore when we opened the doors to our private patio. When we wanted a closer view of Grafton Beach it literally took us a couple of minutes to walk there.
It was hard to return to the normal grind after 3 nights in paradise. Gillian and Paul thanks again for the kindness and hospitality that you showed the both of us. We hope to return again and Happy New Year to you both!

We spent three nights and four days at the Villa Warm Breezes, which is part of Hibiscus Heights in Pleasant Prospect, Tobago. The Villa is extremely spacious and open with a wonderful ambiance. High ceilings and gorgeous four poster beds lend to the quaint charm of the Villa, so when you are there, you feel like you are in another world. Yet, Grafton Beach is minutes away and there is a bar and a newly opened restaurant (The Fish Pot) within walking distance. The living and dining areas are equipped with every amenity that is necessary to make your holiday a great one. There is also a wonderful view of the ocean from the balcony, as well as the garden with its array of tropical plants. There is a pool which is always inviting on a hot day. The owners Gill and Paul Connelly are wonderful and accommodating hosts who ensure that everything is perfect for your holiday. I would highly recommend Warm Breezes.

I have just returned from a wonderful 8 night stay at the "Love Nest" cottage, at Hibiscus Heights, which I strongly recommend to any single person or couple travelling to Tobago. The owners, Gillian and Paul, have thoughtfully considered all aspects of the visitor's needs. The cottage is bright, airy, as well as attractively and comfortably decorated and furnished. The kitchen is fully equipped, there is air conditioning and the mosquito nets on the bed were a godsend, given that Tobago mosquitoes are super evolved and I was bitten mercilessly at the place I stayed at previous to Hibiscus Heights. The cottage opens onto a porch with a barbecue, chairs and loungers - perfect for tea/coffee in the early morning and an iced drink in the late afternoon after a hot day on the beach or touring the island, in the company of the cute little patio lizard or the occasional hummingbird. The location is also ideal, as noted by the previous reviewers, with only a short walk to THREE beaches and the ability to buy freshly caught fish off the main road by Mount Irvine beach. The Grafton bird sanctuary, with morning and late afternoon bird feedings, is also a 10 minute walk away. Just down the hill there is a mini-mart, a super convenient ATM, a good pizza place and yummy local food at "Joanne's" - make sure to try the chicken, fish or curried goat, along with the ample "portions" (plantain, breadfruit, tarot etc.).
Gillian and Paul were helpful, friendly hosts and Sandra the housekeeper kept the cottage neat while I was out enjoying the island. The only quibble, and a minor one that is not really directed at the accommodation, is that the bar down the hill tended to play music loudly past midnight. Paul did indicate that he was looking to do some soundproofing with the windows of the cottage.
Thank you, Gill, Paul and Hibiscus Heights, for such a lovely visit to beautiful and unspoilt Tobago!

We stayed at Hibiscus Heights last month with our 4 children ages ranging from 2yrs to 9 years. The holiday was a great success and ultimately very relaxing.
This was not only based on the wonderful scenery and wildlife of the island or the friendliness of all the Toboggans that we met but also due to the wonderful accommodation at Hibiscus Heights.
Travelling with such a large family can some times be brought. This apartment however was large enough for us all to relax in peace without being on top of one another. The ample living space inside had a light and airy feel with high ceilings and many doors and windows that could be opened.
As the bedrooms were equipped with double beds, our children shared and this was good fun for them. They also had use of the main bathroom; leaving my husband and I the larger bedroom with large walk-in wardrobe and on-suite bathroom.
The swimming pool was a god-send and we spent nearly all the time that we were in the apartment playing in the pool. Just because the weather was so lovely and warm. The pool it was not huge but big enough for a play and a cool down.
The apartment supplied our fluffy towels for the beach as well as separate ones for the pool and others for the shower.
The apartment was well equipped with kitchen stuff and we cooked for ourselves most nights reflecting the ages of our kids.
We did not require a hire car whilst we were here. We spend so much time in traffic in the UK that we really wanted a break from it.
We found this quite acceptable given the location on the apartment to the local beaches. So daily we waked to the beach with all the kids along the main road. There are no pavements as such so we couldn't use the buggy for the toddler however our favourite beach was the furthest away being 15 minute walk and was Mt Irving but the closes was only a 5 minute walk and very beautiful. But for us this was fine.
The reason for us preferring this one was the calm swimming conditions and near perfect snorkeling conditions. There is also a bar on the beach and lifeguards.
This is also where we brought our daily fish at the end of the day from the fishermen on the beach as they landed their catch.
Then it was home for a BBQ of our fish around the pool at Hibiscus Heights.
On the few occasions that we went further afield and checked out tourist sights we used local taxi firms or the tour guides collected us in their cars.
We also found the owners who live below a source of information and help at local attractions to see as well as keeping the garden tidy every day. The house keeper was also very sweet who tidied up a few times per week.
A combination of all of these things lent itself to a great trip that I would thoroughly recommend both the destination and this accommodation.

We had a blast in Tobago. Your cottage was such a wonderful place to retire after a busy day of sight seeing - and so close to the beach. I didn't think we would actually watch any movies, but we did. Although, I was tempted to check out the bar down the street I think that was best left to another life time. I felt most at home evenings on the deck with a cigar and cold Carib (or two). The highlight of our trip was a hike, on our last day, in the rain forest to Argyle Falls with eco expert Mark Putty - he really knows his stuff. We got his number from an article he wrote in a newsprint you had left in the cottage.
We do hope to return to beautiful Tobago one day. And I hope that we can again enjoy your lovely cottage.
Cheers

We booked the Sweet Nest at Hibiscus Heights for three nights – but liked it so much we stayed for three more. The accommodation is a single bedroom apartment in what looks as though it started out as a garage. But don't let that put you off. It feels spacious, is very clean, very white and has all the facilities you'll need. A new wicker chaise longue was just the thing for laying back and watching the late night movie.
The Sweet Nest has an excellent patio/ decking area which is spacious, with a table and chairs, sun umbrella, loungers and even a barbecue. But there isn't a much of a view, as it is surrounded by plaintains which provide the privacy. It was a real bonus to have this facility. All the greenness around you means you'll need plenty of anti-mozzie repellent, of course.
We were delighted with the location, as it is just a short distance to Stonehaven Bay (which we like) and also appreciated the value. The owners, Gill and Paul, were very charming and couldn't have been more helpful.
We visited the other apartments at Hibiscus Heights and they are very spacious, with excellent views – particularly the three-beds one on the top floor.
As Hibiscus Heights is just above the hamlet of Pleasant Prospect, it is quite a busy meeting place for local people. You may hear music from the nearby bar most evenings, but it wasn't too loud and usually ended fairly early. However, did wish violence on one person who blasted the whole area with deafening music one at about six o clock one morning. Fortunately, this happened only once.
There is a new restaurant at the bottom of the hill (the Fish Pot), which we liked. And as the fish market is a short distance away, we enjoyed buying our own and cooking at Sweet Nest.
Having stayed in various locations around the island, this was a favourite. We like trying new places, but would definitely consider coming back here.

What perfect bliss! We couldn’t have wished for a more delightful holiday or more perfect accommodation in which to enjoy it. Tobago is a delight! A beautiful island where the sun kisses your skin and the people are warm and friendly. Wonderful diving, some fabulous food, gorgeous, unspoilt beaches – all the picture postcard clichés are there. But…… they really are true! This place is paradise.
We stayed in the fabulous 3-bedroomed villa at Hibiscus Heights which is just heaven. A beautiful home from home with all the goodies you could wish for, including (if you can’t keep away from it) cable TV, stereo player with a good selection of CDs, wrap-around balcony with stunning views and a kitchen stocked with all the bits you’ll need to rustle up a gourmet meal of local fish bought freshly caught from the side of the road. The bedrooms are cool and elegantly “island” with air-conditioning and seriously comfortable beds. There’s plenty of cupboard space to store your shorts and bikinis too. The private pool tucked away at the back of the house was the ‘cherry on top’. Oh, and the almost-private beach (practically nobody there) just a five-minute walk away, provides some welcome wallowing.
Gill and Paul are tremendous hosts and relax mode kicks in the minute you arrive. The views are wonderful and sitting on the deck with your morning coffee, gazing out to sea is simply the best way to start the day.
The only bad thing? Leaving! Be warned….. getting back to reality after a blissful time combining the delights of Hibiscus Heights and Tobago is a struggle suitable only for the strong and the brave. We’re going back - to visit the bits of our hearts we planted in the sand, to sit on the patio, to talk with the stars, pick mangoes and paw-paws off the trees and dive with the rays, sharks and turtles. And Paul and Gill, if you’ll accept, we’d love you to share Henry II with us!

We had the most memorable time in April in your villa which we found just by chance. The views are spectacular, and in a lovely setting near excellent restruarants and a very good beach. Not that you would have to leave the villa for any thing apart from food as the self catering facilities were excellent. The Warm Breeze section of the villa offered us total privacy, peace and tranquility. The villa is very clean and airy, and the pool very adequate. The furnishing and excellently matching decor, not to mention the 4 poster bed, had a tropical feel and was very tastefully designed to complement the luxurious colonial house/villa. You were the most hospitable couple who could not make us any more welcome than you did. We are returning in approximately 2 years with Huws parents where we hope to yet again stay in your Tobagan paradise.
Lots of good wishes and luck for your future it is a pleasure to have met you and would love to hear from you from time to time

We have the most wonderful memories of our stay at Hibiscus Heights. My then-fiance, now-husband and I booked it for our wedding trip, to accommodate us and many of our family and friends. Our group could not have been happier! The villa was perfect because there were plenty of spacious gathering areas but it also allowed for people to have comfortable privacy when desired. We loved Pleasant Prospect, from our previous Tobago trip, and those in our group fell in love with the village immediately as well. There are plenty of restaurants of all types just below the villa, the best beaches right down the street, and people so friendly that you can't help making friends that are hard to leave at the end of the trip.
Gill and Paul, the owners of the property who live on site on the middle level of the villa are absolutely wonderful. They were incredibly helpful with our rehearsal dinner (and many other details) just because they are kind and loving people--not because they had any responsibility or obligation for it. Very much in tune with the island overall.
We took the master bedroom upstairs for our honeymoon suite, and had friends and family in the other rooms as well as in the one-bedroom apartment below and the separate cottage. Everyone absolutely loved their rooms and the whole feel of the place. It was truly paradise--luxurious and homey at the same time. The huge wrap-around balcony upstairs was the main gathering place for us and even for our guests staying in other places...we had our rehearsal dinner there before the wedding along with several other meals and endless hours of birdwatching and relaxation. The pool was a great place to refresh and relax as well. But those views from the balcony--wow!
Waking up to the sounds of the tropical birds was absolute bliss. Watching the cocricos, blue taningers, motmots, banaquits and all the rest as they would try to pluck at the popos (small mangoes) on the tree reaching up by our balcony was endless entertainment. It was like visiting a bird sanctuary but we were living in it. I had never appreciated birds like this until Hibiscus Heights. We really enjoyed bananas and other fruit from the trees right there on the property, as well as the gorgeous tropical flowers all around us.
The one bedroom apartment in the middle level is really cute and spacious, with its own little front porch. The cottage below is also really adorable, with a good sized enclosed patio, very lush and tropical. As I said, everyone was thrilled with their rooms, there was not a thing to complain about. If you're really out of shape though, you may not like the hill or the stairs, but for most of us it was worth the little climb to be at such a striking vantage point where we could see the coastline and hear the ocean from our rooms and balcony.
We usually like to explore different places and areas but in this case we know that our top choice will be to return to Hibiscus Heights as soon as the opportunity arises!

Funk & Wagnall defines "PARADISE' as "THE ULTIMATE ABODE OF RIGHTEOUS SOULS" and "ANY REGION OR STATE OF SURPASSING DELIGHT"
Such is Hibiscus Heights at Pleasant Prospect, Tobago. My wife and I have just returned from two weeks at Hibiscus Heights and have had the time of our lives. Now, if beaches, sunshine, fine people, good food and excellent accomodations are not to your liking then stay away. However, if you desire a vacation where the hosts are the best, the property is excellent, in a region of friendly people, good food, cold beer, tasty rum, astounding beaches and a central location for touring; the Hibiscus Heights is for you. We occupied the studio apt. which is roomy and well equipped. A great place to use as homebase or as home. Whichever you desire. This property is clean, well managed, and is constantly monitored for upgrades. The cottage is a wonderful place, cozy and attractive, with its private deck and four poster bed.The three bedroom villa will satisfy anyones accomodation requirements. With is private pool and wraparound veranda. No matter what your budget Hibiscus Heights has accomodations to fit.
Thanks again to Paul and Gil for the vacation of our lifetime.

Dear Paul & Jill
Many thanks again for your warm hospitality. We enjoyed our stay at your beautifully designed and spacious villa. The four-poster bed and the hand-made furnitures ensure a romantic atmosphere. This was like home away from home. The villa is ideal for honeymooners, couples or families. We just loved the tropical surroundings and the breathtaking view from the large terrace. The pool was refreshing and guaranteed privacy. The location of Hibiscus Heights is excellent: a short walk to one of the best beaches in Tobago, minimart & local restaurants. All in all: Friendly and helpful staff, the most excellent and cleanest accommodation on the island! We hope to stay with you again soon and recommend your property to everybody!

Returning back home and starting work again, time has passed so fast. We want to thank you bothfor your warm welcome and for caring so much throughout our stay in Hibiscus Hights. Those days gave us so much recreation to recover from our work, enjoying the view from the veranda and the luxurious amenities of your beautiful "Belle Etage". As parents of 3 children we missed nothing, laundry and dryer adding to the comfort as well as the barbecue, which is marvelous with the fresh fish you can buy down at the beach. Your island offers all you search for in a vacation and Hibiscus Heights is the center of relaxation and comfort.
In these gray rainy days here in Germany we still talk frequently about our wonderful time in your house and on the island Tobago.
We want to thank you once more for the perfect time you provided for us and we wish to stay at your place maybe next change of the years.
Sincerely
